cape baby

Postby Xena » Mon Jul 16, 2007 7:08 pm

Thanks carlynn,

Guys, this is my hybrid "Cape Baby", a fragrant small sized strep from Cape Essence x Museum of Art.

The first photo is a family portrait Cape Essence (huge, even tho cut down), Cape Baby, and pollen parent Museum of Art(unfortunately out of bloom in photo but blooming alot now- that you can't see it)

Cape Baby is pictured with a 6 inch ruler for scale,it is in a 2 1/8" pot. It is just about mature, puts out a leaf now and then, and was just putting up one flower, than a second and resting. Now however, I see it has a few bloom stems coming up. Glory Osky, or words to that effect.

It is also a poppa and I have about half a dozen tiny green sprouts in a deli container (It Makes Scents is the reluctant mama).

I am hoping Cape Baby will help me develop a line of small, quick to flower scented streps.
